On January 19, Katarina, of TerraScapes, attended Green Drinks Virginia Beach. Green Drinks organized a special event featuring Virginia Seafood – Wild.Sustainable.Available. Mike Hutt and Joe Cardwell from Virginia Marine Products Board presented the latest news on Virginia Seafood. The Green Drinkers had the opportunity to taste freshly shucked delicious raw oysters – the mild briny, sweet taste sorts grown in the Bay or oysters with a salty ocean-like finish. Those in favor of cooked food could taste fried Chesapeake Bay Stingray, which has got all benefits of fish without the fishy taste. In the cozy atmosphere of Croc’s 19th Street Bistro the local sustainable leaders were discussing and exchanging their earth-friendly practices.
