The Big Fix

On July 25, 2012, Christina Conover and Tanya Ramseyer tabled at the Naro Cinema in Norfolk, VA for the showing of “The Big Fix” a documentary focused on the effects and politics surrounding the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. We presented information about overfishing and clean energy; asking the public to show support by signing Ocean Policy cards. We shared the entrance of the Naro with the Virginia chapter of the Sierra Club, who were informing the public about oil drilling and the detrimental effects it would cause on the environment and on the economy.

One of the goals of the Sierra Club is to “Block the most dangerous oil projects and revoke the oil industry’s license to operate above the law and interfere with our transition to a clean energy future.”
