On Saturday, February 18, 2012 and Sunday, February 19, 2012 Terra Pascarosa Duff, Ben Duff, and Katarina Bezakova tabled at the Sustainable Living Fair in the Webb Center on the campus of Old Dominion University, Norfolk, VA.
The Sustainable Living Fair is a joint production of Green Alternatives & Five Points Community Farm Market. The mission of the fair was better education surrounding sustainable living practices to make healthy choices. The event featured more than 50 local eco-businesses. It was free and open to the public. The visitors had a chance to learn from local environmental experts. Over twenty unique eco-education workshops were offered, ranging from bee keeping, gardening, healthy foods and eco organizing to alternative energy.
Terra Pascarosa Duff led a workshop for Environmental Lobbying. The participants learned how to be an active part of their local, regional, and national legislation. After closing the fair on Saturday afternoon, the event featured an exclusive screening of Cafeteria Man with the film’s star, Tony Geraci, national childhood nutrition consultant.
