On May 5 Katarina Bezakova and Chris Irby attended the Eagle Festival at the Botanical Gardens in Norfolk VA. It was a wonderful event in an amazing set of the Norfolk Botanical Garden with demonstrations, live animals, booths showcasing arts and crafts, local organizations and events, birding supplies and equipment, great information on eagles, birds and their habitats. Visitors could enjoy music, food, contests, activities for children and adults, door prizes and a visit from “Buddy,” a rehabilitated eagle hatched at the Garden that serves as an educational ambassador.

The Virginia Department of Game Inland Fisheries, Wildlife Center of Virginia, Virginia Zoo, Virginia Aquarium, State Parks and many other organizations were present at the event.
