TerraScapes attended the VA Sierra Club Renewable Energy Business Lobby Day in Richmond VA on January 19, 2012.
TerraScapes, along with 50 other business leaders in VA, met with our legislators at Virginia’s General Assembly to speak to them about many renewable energy bills. We converged on Richmond on one day for legislative visits, a noon-time press conference in the State Capitol building, and a private reception with legislators.
On Wednesday, December 7, 2011, the Naro Cinema in Norfolk screened the movie “Revenge of the Electric Car.” Over 200 people stopped by to see ten electric vehicles parked outside the movie theater. TerraScapes planned and organized a screening event for NRDC’s film Acid Test: The Global Challenge of Ocean Acidification – at the Naro Theater in Norfolk, VA.
We worked with the media in Hampton Roads to secure advertising on the Hampton Roads National Public Radio, Pulse magazine, and 850AM WTAR, Norfolk.
TerraScapes constructed the event agenda, secured the location, recruited four speakers/hosts, and garnered over 150 attendees for the event.
